I am running for Harris County Commissioner, Precinct 4, because our community deserves a servant leader who works for everyone.

As a proud product of our local public schools and colleges, I know firsthand the power of community. God bless our educators—It was a political science professor who inspired my lifelong journey in public service. For over 20 years, I’ve seen Precinct 4 grow into the vibrant, diverse community it is today. I’ve immersed myself in our democratic process, from registering student voters on campus, to working the very long election night shifts unloading voting machines.

Today, as a Mediator and Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrar, I see the real-world impact of our laws inside the JP courts. I am running to bring practical, working-class leadership to the Commissioners Court and deliver equitable solutions for our families.

 

My Priorities for Precinct 4

• Fixing Our Justice System: Let's fully fund the District Attorney's office to clear backlogged court dockets, ensuring both victims and defendants get their day in court. At the same time, we must guarantee victims have full access to the Texas Attorney General's Crime Victims' Compensation Program. I would also like to expand HART to include a victim of violent crime advocacy component. 

• Tackling the Housing & Eviction Crisis: Address the overwhelming eviction caseload by listening to rent-burdened families who shouldn't have to choose between keeping a roof over their heads and putting food on the table.

• Inclusive, Equitable Budgeting: Ensure your tax dollars are managed transparently. I will work to minimize wasteful spending and find new revenue streams to offset rising property taxes, keeping our community affordable for everyday working families.
